NLD BBSRC DTP 3 - Project Call for Supervisors Now Open

Monday 04th November 2019

We are pleased to announce that the Newcastle-Liverpool-Durham BBSRC DTP3 application was successful and we have 28 PhD studentships across the partnership to award for Oct 2020 intake: 20 regular and 8 CASE with industry.

All PhD studentships within NLD DTP3 must be supervised by a primary supervisor at one of the three Universities, and co-supervised by an individual at either a different partner University or in industry (if CASE). Further supervisors at any location are possible.

NLD DTP3 studentships will be awarded in a two-stage process. First, PIs must propose projects that will be ranked by the NLD DTP3 management board. The top-ranked projects will be advertised, and then students will apply to the scheme, selecting their preferred project. The top-ranked students will be interviewed and then offers made to the top ranked students.

The first stage of the process is now open, with the project application process for both regular and CASE projects. The deadline for project submissions is Monday 18th November at 5:00pm, via the attached form. For CASE projects, please see the BBSRC website for additional details on what the CASE partners are expected to provide: https://bbsrc.ukri.org/skills/investing-doctoral-training/case-studentships/ and particularly https://bbsrc.ukri.org/documents/case-information-pack-pdf/
